SkyAdvisor – Privacy Policy

SkyAdvisor (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a personal weather assistant designed to provide forecasts, AI-powered suggestions, and a simple user experience. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and the choices you have when using SkyAdvisor.

1. Information We Process

We process only the information needed to provide core features and improve the app.

1.1 Location Data (Optional)

If you grant permission, SkyAdvisor may access your device’s approximate or precise location to:

• Show local weather forecasts
• Improve hourly and daily predictions for your area
• Provide AI suggestions that depend on local conditions (for example, best outdoor time)

You can disable location access at any time from your device settings.
We do not track your location in the background. Location access is used only while the app is open.

1.2 Saved Cities & Preferences

Cities you add (and preferences like units) are stored locally on your device. We do not require an account to use SkyAdvisor.

1.3 Weather & Forecast Requests

To retrieve forecasts, the app sends limited request data to weather providers, such as:

• Open-Meteo API
• Other weather data providers (if added in the future)

These requests may include a city name or geographic coordinates needed to return weather results. We do not send your name, email, or account information (because SkyAdvisor does not create accounts).

1.4 AI Assistant Interactions (Optional)

If you use the in-app AI assistant, the text you type is processed to generate a response.

• Your message content is sent to our AI processing service (for example: [AI Provider Name]) to generate a reply.
• To provide more relevant suggestions, the app may also share your approximate or precise location (or city name) with the AI assistant only when you use the chatbot (for example, to recommend the best outdoor time or weather-related advice for your area).
• We do not require login and we do not intentionally use chat messages to identify you.
• Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chat.

1.5 Diagnostics & Analytics (Optional)

We may collect anonymous, aggregated diagnostics to improve reliability, such as:

• App performance metrics
• Feature usage (high-level events)
• Crash reports

Tools that may be used (only if enabled in the app build):

• Google Play Services
• Sentry (if enabled)

2. How We Use Information

We use information for:

• Providing forecasts and weather details
• Generating AI-based suggestions (only if you use the AI assistant)
• Remembering your preferences and saved cities on your device
• Improving performance, stability, and user experience (if diagnostics are enabled)

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Sharing & Service Providers

SkyAdvisor may share limited information with service providers only to operate the app:

3.1 Weather Providers

Weather providers receive request data (such as city name or coordinates) so they can return forecasts.

3.2 AI Processing Provider (if you use AI)

If you use the AI assistant, your message text is sent to [AI Provider Name] to generate a response. When needed for better suggestions, your location (or city) may also be included in the request. This data is used to provide the feature and is not sold.

3.3 Analytics / Crash Reporting (if enabled)

If enabled, diagnostics (like crash logs) may be processed by providers such as Firebase/Crashlytics or Sentry to help us fix bugs and improve stability.

4. Data Storage, Retention & Security

• Saved cities & preferences: stored on your device until you remove them or clear app data.
• Weather requests: transmitted to providers to fetch results.
• AI messages (if used): transmitted to the AI provider for processing (and may include location/city when needed).
• Diagnostics (if enabled): may be stored by the diagnostics provider according to its retention settings.
• Security: we use HTTPS encryption for network communications whenever supported by providers.

5. Your Choices & Rights

You can:

• Turn location access on/off in device settings
• Remove saved cities inside the app (or clear app storage)
• Disable analytics/diagnostics (if your app version includes that option)
• Request deletion of any logs we can access (if applicable)

Most controls are available through your device settings.

6. Children’s Privacy

SkyAdvisor is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we may also notify you in the app if the changes are significant.
